Scope and support
These guides describe the repository's consumer-facing programming model and local development paths. They separate implemented mechanisms from deployment claims.
What the guides cover
- Compiling and running Vulcan programs with the repository tools.
- Understanding the responsibilities of the blockchain's layers.
- Starting a local chain walkthrough with a provisioned localnet toolchain.
- Building a browser UI with Venus and delivering its static bundle.
- Using product specs, role fixtures and named actor contexts.
What to verify for your environment
A public installer, hosted blockchain endpoint, production service policy and platform-specific UI host are separate deliverables. Their existence is not implied by a language example or a successful browser build.
Some parts of the repository are proposals or target-specific implementations. Check the feature and environment you intend to use before relying on it. Browser qualification does not qualify Android, GTK or native wgpu behavior.
Reporting a problem
Record the source revision, compiler and runtime versions, target platform, command and exact diagnostic. Include a small reproduction with no secrets or personal data. For UI failures, add the page route, expected behavior, observed behavior and a sanitized capture.
Documentation edition
This first edition prioritizes a coherent path through the stack. It is not yet an exhaustive standard-library or protocol reference. The repository's language specification and component contracts remain the detailed implementation references.
